Riverside.

Any other year and I would have picked Riverside.

Even though Second Life Syndrome is my favorite album by Riverside, I like Frances the Mute more. However, I am not a big fan of Mars Volta overall. Riverside, on the other hand... I love that band.

Mars Volta. Cassandra Gemini is the single greatest track of the 2000s.

Lars Volvo for me by quite a vast margin.

Second Life Syndrome. The title track is (one of) the tracks of the 2000s and the album is one of my top 5 of all time.
I'd rather not say what I think of Frances the Mute.

Riverside, no doubts. SLS is their best album and one of my favourite when talking about modern prog-rock.
