Having recently overloaded on Strawbs, these from "Blue Angel":

Treat me kindly dear blue angel, deepest color of the night.
Be merciful, be gentle as I have no strength to fight.

and we're linking, and we're linking, linking all over the place
i'm receiving triples from your toilet and your car
your air's low in the right front tire
and you only have three days of toilet paper left
should i order you some more?

and we're linking, and we're linking, linking all over the place
and now i know what homonyms are
i can tell what he meant by arms races and trees of shoes
now you can wear my metadata socks and be my favorite machine
hey sam crawford, let me introduce you to herman munster
Aardvark, aardvark? I smell dryer sheets.

Can't you see?
It's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head, they're still fighting.
What's in your head Zombie?

Not Prog though. Cry

Not every great song has to be prog. Thank goodness for that! RIP Dolores.

aaaaaaaah how does it feel?
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
we found footprints in the snow

By Ayreon (Devin Townshend in this case), Day Sixteen: Loser -

[Father] Look at you, lying there, defenceless and alone

See I am no fool, I always knew you wouldn't make it on your own

'cause you're just like your mother, well, where is she now?

You'll end up like her soon, 6 feet under ground, loser!

I came here to watch you bleed, oh how I love to gloat

If you had any balls at all, you'd grab me by the throat

You don't even look like me, ha! Not even close!

You're an aberration, some freak...I suppose, loser!

I had my fun, I'm going back to the place I don't call home

There's no one there who waits for me, but you won't hear me moan

My ex-wives all sue me, and with half my kids in jail

I'll still come out laughing, coz me? I never fail, loser!

[Rage] NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! NEVER!

Killing it from afar, go tell it in a bar

You're killing it from afar my father!

I saw actress Sharon Stone on TV tonight, and she recounted how she saw Russian Pres. Vladimir Putin sing "Blueberry Hill" in Moscow....can't get that song out of my head, sadly!

Drawn like moths we drift into the city
The timeless old attraction
Cruising for the action
Lit up like a firefly
Just to feel the living night

Well some will sell their dreams for small desires
Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
And start to dream of somewhere
To relax their restless flight
Somewhere out of a memory of lighted streets on quiet nights
we found footprints in the snow

Everybody's building ships and boats
Some are building monuments
Others jotting down notes
Everybody's in despair
Every girl and boy
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here
Everybody's gonna jump for joy

Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the mighty Quinn

Well, thanks to our kindness and skill
You'll have no trouble until
You catch your breath
And the nurse will present you the bill!

Yep. I feel the same way. I suspect a lot of people on here(if not most)like other stuff besides just prog. As a big fan of 90's alternative this was sad for me too. I have one of their cds somewhere and so have to look for it now(I'm pretty sure the one I have is "if everyone else is doing it...").

Brush away that black cloud from your shoulder.
Twitch your whiskers. Feel that you're really real.
