Ditto, ditto. 'Cry' really lifts the proceedings.

Opening song from the very first GG album I heard many moons ago - Advent of Panurge

Lots of energy throughout the entire album, one of my faves.

Well said. I too feel Phil added a certain "something" to the first four Gentle Giant records. Black Cat is another favorite of mine. His vocals in the break of River are amazing.

Quite difficult.

I'll go with Knots

I'm sure you know the Octopus Excerpt from Playing the Fool which is great, have you ever heard the Octopus Excerpt on the 2CD Totally Out of the Woods?  It's great fun, especially when they break into the recorder ensemble playing Yankee Doodle Wink

"This is something we should call "EXCERPTS FROM OCTOPUS"...it starts off with a song called "The Boys...in The Band" *cue backing track intro*

I've heard just about every live version they've done, and I agree it's amazing.

One songs I've NEVER heard GG perform live is my all-time personal favorite "In a Glass House". Does it exist anywhere?

An album I like from start to finish. Maybe Knots, but I could change later, it's such a great album to my ears.

Out of the album tracks, I'd have to choose Knots - very few rock bands have the balls or the chops to do a cappela sections like that.

My favorite GG album. For me it's sort of a toss up between "boys in the band" and "knots" but I chose "knots."
