Not exactly prog, but I think some here will dig (or already dig) the majestic electronic symphonic music of Mikhail Chekalin:

Diversion Voice is a prog band from the Russian Federation featuring a sax player that reminds me of the Finnish band KAABEL (e.g. "Channel Pressure")...

Two that I have enjoyed are neo prog band Apple Pie (influenced by Spock's Beard):

Crossroad (2007) album on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Bo--VR4MEw
The Gates of Never (2013) on Bandcamp: https://applepieband.bandcamp.com/

And another neo prog band, Algabas:

Angels and Demons (2013) on Bandcamp (free download!): https://algabas.bandcamp.com/

I'd lve to sprinkle this thread with a few vids here and there, but I can't be bothered with the amount of katja I'm getting today

Yes, that Gourishankar album is good as is the Pandora Snail one.
I had high hopes for Karfagen after their first CD but the second one turned into lift music and I haven't listened to them since, maybe I should?

It is such a wonderful album and one that reignited my love for experimental music. Really interesting modern prog that goes from hard hitting almost Opeth-like riffs to wafting delightful salsa....but hen again it also does these beautiful longstretched soundscapes with flickering electronics and something akin to those monumental kathartic rock swoops you get from really wellcrafted post rock.
How can it have been so long since I last span this baby? Sorry I'm just babbling to myself here

Karfagen? Sure. The most recent one Cosmology is one of the best symph things I've heard all year. Great usage of mellotron and flute within a healthy dosage of blistering prague rock. Hold on...yeah I always mix up these two critters. I am of course thinking of Spanish Kotebel. Heh sorry bout that. Nahh Karfagen is that band Michael just reviewed very favourably, and just by reading through it, knowing your tastes, I'd most definitely go for it

Nice keyboard work by Igor Khoroshev!  I would have gone to see their show in Chicago, but I was flying out of town to be married in the US Virgin Islands!!  A good tradeoff, as my bride and I eventually made it backstage to Yes in 2004 & met Rick, Jon, Steve, Alan and Chris!!  RIP Chris Squire!

A brilliant band and worth checking out folks, is a band called Lunar Cape!!

So far released 2 albums...

Just Lunatics - 2015
Lunar Folk Tales - 2017

Both albums are excellent and are Prog/Folk /Crossover   Wink  Though this PA site classifies them as jazz fusion, I disagree Ermm

There is no such thing as Russian prog. Prog can only be British. Ok?
