Rush about 10 times
Yes 3 times (and ABWH once)
Porcupine Tree 4 times
King Crimson
Flower Kings
Dream Theater twice
Opeth twice
Caravan
Nektar
Pink Floyd
Happy The Man
Dixie Dregs
It Bites
Project Object (great Zappa tribute band featuring Ike Willis and Napoleon Murphy Brock)
Tool 3 times
Primus twice
Phish twice
Sigur Ros
Ozric Tentacles twice
Jethro Tull 4 times
Fish
Mastermind
ELP twice
Radiohead

I think thats most of 'em...

Man I wish there were more, but prog music doesnt come by here too often (Wash. DC), I'm so jealous of Europeans who have much more access (it seems).

Fun memory exercise since I don't keep track of concerts I've been to. Prog and prog-related only, and I'm probably forgetting some...

Opeth 2x
Dream Theater 2x
Present
Los Jaivas
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum
Dixie Dregs
Ahleuchatistas

Sigur Ros 3x
Godspeed You Black Emperor!
Dungen
Mogwai
Slint
Pere Ubu
Behold... The Arctopus
Time of Orchids

NEARfest 2000 (Thinking Plague, DFA, Anekdoten, Happy the Man, Transatlantic, Il Balletto di Bronzo, Par Lindh Project, Iluvatar, Nexus, North Star)
ProgDay 2000 (Hoyry-kone, Malibran, Tiles)
ProgDay 2005 (Far Corner, The Spacious Mind, Happy the Man, Glenn Phillips Band)

Of all these I think Present, Hoyry-kone, and Los Jaivas were the best... Thinking Plague, DFA, Far Corner, Sigur Ros not far behind.

Do all the Phish shows I went to count?  Saw them about 10 times in the early nineties and then again in 2003-2004 before they "broke up" again.  All great shows.  I was at Great Woods in 93 when they did the Gamehenge cycle, wow!!  The IT Festival in 2003 was mind blowing as well.

Saw King Crimson twice, once in Hartford for the Three of a Perfect Pair show and once in Boston and Berklee Performance Center for the Construcktion of Light tour.

I've seen Peter Gabriel three times, twice on the Growing Up tour and once on the Talk to Me tour in 94.

Seen Yes three times, for the Ladder tour and then twice in 2003.

Seen the Grateful Dead about 10 times between 1983 and 1990.

Roger Waters with Eric Clapton Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking tour in 1984 I believe it was??  Hard to remember stuff back then!

I've seen lots of other shows but those are the ones that really stand out in my mind.  The Roger Waters tour for Pros and Cons was particularly interesting, with a huge video setup and some great guitar work from Clapton.  I think they also had Mel Collins on that tour with them as well.

Uhm... I've seen Marillion about 3 times I think, I've also seen Gazpacho, Porcupine Tree, Anathema and Kayak once.

In two weeks time I'll be able to add Oceansize to this list

(not to mention I could go to Within Temptation and Arcturus for free once, but couldn't go because of my schedule )

I'm still green of envy on those who witnessed early - and mid-Genesis  and early ELP  but in fact I may not complain because between 1977 and now I've seen many mindblowing concerts: The wall from Pink Floyd (UK and Germany), Danger money tour from UK, Spectral mornings tour from Steve Hackett, Turn of the tide tour from Barclay James Harvest, Angel station tour from Manfred Mann's Earth band, Fugazi tour from Marillion, Nude tour from Camel, Going for the one tour from Yes and the last years gigs from Anekdoten, Ange, After Crying, Ozric Tentacles, Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Moongarden, Ars Nova, Gerard and two weeks ago Echolyn . And I hope to see very soon Nemo, Maldoror, Aries, Presto Ballet, Magic Pie and Little Tragedies!!!

I have had to reach for the bunch of ticket stubs I have kept in the CTTE cover to help me out here.

Tangerine Dream, Stratosfear Tour. My first concert, and I saw them at least once following, billed as Tangerine Dream and Laserium.

Genesis, Liverpool Empire, Wind & Wuthering tour and then at Earls Court, June 1977  and Knebworth.

Peter Gabriel, at Knebworth and Liverpool Empire (Fripp played guitar but off stage)1980. Pretty sure I saw him on a later tour as well. Manchester I think. The band wore black suits and walked through the auditorium with torches at the start of the show (intruder?). Anyone help me out here?

Robert Fripp and the League of Gentlemen at the Carribean Club in Manchester

Frank Zappa at Knebworth

Jon Anderson and The New Life Band, 1980

Yes, 1980, twice,  (with the buggles duo )

Steve Hackett 1978

Rick Wakeman 1980

Camel, Rain Rances and Nude tours

Mike Oldfield May 1979 and 1980

Here & Now band

Steve Hillage 1979

Rush (I think Farewell to Kings tour)

There will be some I have missed.

I still have the ticket stubs for Hawkwind at Victoria Hall hanley May 1978. The gig was cancelled. I never did get to see them.

Big regret is not going to see Floyd on the Animals tour when I had chance.

Hello Harlequin.

Impressive, what a progrock joy  (especially Tangerine Dream and mid-Genesis)! I presume that you are aged between 45 and 50 (a few years older than me, just become 45)?

This year I've been to a concert of Michael Rother (ex- neu! & Harmonia) and Dieter Moebius (Cluster, Harmonia) in a laboratory of contemporary artistic researches near to my house! It was a concert for guitar "patterns", electronic manipulations and film projection. Impressive, deeply meditative "abstract" multimedia performance!!

well, I have seen not that many.....

In the last 5 years, the best prog show was PFM's 2005 tour.

Then I enjoyed a lot:

- Marillion's Misplaced Childhood and Brave tour

- Mike Oldfield's mid 80's tour, I don't remember the album title

- Peter Gabriel's 1988 tour

- IQ

- Yes

- Supertramp in 2003

Unfortunately i did not have the chance to see Genesis with PG but just with PC, the Mama tour, uhmmm, so and so....but I enjoyed a lot The Musical Box in The lamb and Selling England tour: they are really great!

- Roger Waters's In the Flesh tour

Then I have been to many other concerts, but they are not really related to progressive area: deep purple, Uriah Heep, Mc Laughlin/DeLucia/DiMeola, etc etc

I feel like such a loser. For a long-time prog fan, this is all I've seen:

Yes - Drama tour (San Antonio, TX) , 90125 tour (Providence, RI), Masterworks tour (Jones Beach, NY)
King Crimson - Discpline tour (Austin, TX)
Rush - A Farewell To Kings tour (San Antonio)

That's really sad.
