In my opinion, this is the most proggy of Zep's album--and my personal favorite by far. Do you agree? Favorite song?
This is a REALLY tough choice for me as I have special places for each and every song here. "No Quarter" is probably my favorite today but I remember in my college-worship-Steve-Howe days that I would get out my air guitar and CRANK the opener every day at some point in the day.
John Bonham was so smooth... He really knew how to fill a soundscape without dominating it. And Robert Plant truly had an amazing voice.

No Quarter, especially considering the 20 .inutes live performance.

Surprisingly it's difficult to choose a favorite song. So many great ones. I'll go with The Crunge for the sheer weirdness/funkyness of it.

No Quarter on the studio album - always stood out for me. Thought the live version on The Song Remains the Same was even better. In fact I always thought the studio production and Plant's vocals were a touch tinny overall. The one-two of The Song Remains the Same and the Rain Song on the live album was always my highlight from that particular live album. That and "Does anyone remember laughter?" - shouted out by me and others whenever a tribute band do Stairway to Heaven!

My favourite Zep as well. The Rain Song by a microscopic advantage over No Quarter.

It's my personal favourite too. "The Rain Song" is probably the most special song for me, I discovered the magical sound of the Mellotron in it and I always love to play it on acoustic guitar.

I'd agree this is LZ's prog album. The proggy Rain Song gets my vote just over the great rocker Dancing Days...

this is a hard one, a lot of great songs, I could choose anything except D'yer Maker and The Crunge.
No Quarter on TSRTS is amazing.

It's a tie between "Over the Hills and Far Away", and "No Quarter". The rest of the album is also fantastic.

The acoustic guitar line in Over the Hills and Far Away has always been a favorite.

My favorite is the one-two punch of The Song Remain the Same and The Rain Song, although I voted the former simply because it was trailing. There is something special about the transition from one to the other. After that, Over the Hills and Far Away followed by No Quarter.

voted Over the Hills cause it's the one that sounds best in studio. Really TSRtS is the definitive version of this stuff, especially since it was fresh material touring Houses.
IMO far from their 'proggiest album'-- I'd put ll, lll, PG, Presence, or ITtOD before Houses for a progressive approach.
