The Wormhole Experience is an instrumental project by Valerio Lucantoni, born of the need to combine his drums studies with harmonics.

The project began in 2012, after having returned to Italy from an experience at the Drummer Collective in New York. Valerio spent the whole year forming the band and composing the repertoire that he will then perform at several venues in Rome, all the way
to the most important drumming festival in Italy: Batterika.

At the end of 2012, the first single "Dimensional Wall" was released on YouTube, accompanied by a playthrough video of the band.

In 2013, after some line-up changes, the band stopped their live activity. Valerio undertook a long journey researching and composing which has led him to the creation of Perseverance, the first ever record of The Wormhole Experience, in 2016. Main goal of
this project is to set a trend, discovering a sound that combines Fusion with Djent. The result is what the band likes to call FuDjent.

Perseverance is the perfect balance between the rhythmic power of Djent, the complex time-signature of Progressive and the freedom of improvisation that Fusion brings.

The album features important collaborations such as the participation of Cameron Gray in the Artwork and Marco Sfogli (James Labrie, Virgil Donati, etc etc) on guitar.

sounds pretty good, reminds me of Modern Day Babylon, except that those guys don't have keyboard solos, but have keyboards though :)
