I didn't include Tangerine Dream or Yes because in both cases the band continued without their one constant member. I also didn't include Porcupine Tree because they started off as a sort of solo project and when they did have other members there weren't enough lineup changes to make it really relevant.

Magma to me! Just seen them playing very alive and Vanderīs also just great! Others that are really in a great condition, at least made great albums last year are Hawkwind, Strawbs and Procol Harum (there is also Gary still in it).

King Crimson is also still tight playing group although hasnīt made new studio album for a long time.

Camel
Andy Latimer is one of my favorite guitarists, so that's why Camel got the vote. :)

I've had a constant member before, it's not as fun as it sounds.

Guru Guru (Mani Neumeier) should be on the list. And how about VdGG (Peter Hammill)?

Of the list tough choice between Hawkwind, Magma and King Crimson. Since Hawkwind don't have a vote yet...

I'm still counting YES, OP, because Chris Squire is a legend and I refuse to let the fact that those dude didn't know it was time to stop, disqualify him from that fact! Cool

Camel, with Strawbs an honorable 2nd.

Andy Latimer is THE greatest prog musician.

Nick Mason is the only constant member of Pink Floyd, but from the poll options I choose Hawkwind

Too many great bands to make a choice, really. I could choose any and be ok with it.

Technically speaking PH might be the only original member but Hugh Banton and Guy Evans were both with VDGG(along with Hammill)since before their first album was released so that's reason enough for me not to include them. As for Guru Guru they are barely on my(or most people's radar). I have Hinten somewhere on cd but haven't played it in a while. Very good album though.

I was actually going just as much by someone who sort of led the band and it was their vision of the band which I feel applies to pretty much all of the ones I listed. So for me it's not just about the band but the one member who led the band and carried through. I don't see Nick Mason as that guy within PF. It was either Gilmour or Waters who were the visionaries of the band and since neither one of them was on all albums(and in DG's case not there from the beginning)they weren't included.
