It would have been nice if you told us why you posted the video and what you think of it.

Another ranking on youtube, there are too many anyway, I watched some, I gotta find better ways to kill time. But curiosity gets the worst of me (LOL).

I only glance at sections of it but it was better than I expected. Sometimes you see these things & the pop stuff seems to rise to the top in these polls  but it look like the real prog stuff prevailed for the most part.

I don't agree with some of the order, but I do agree with their #1 pick.

My top six:

Trespass
Foxtrot
Nursery Cryme
Wind and Wuthering
A Trick of the Tail
Selling England By the Pound

Not a big fan of the Lamb although it would probably make my number seven. These days I might swap SE for Trick but close enough.

Foxtrot and Nursery Cryme are way too low !

I will do like AFlowerKingCrimson, and give you my top six:

1- The Lamb Lies down on Broadway
2- Foxtrot
3- Nursery Cryme
4- SEBTP
5- ATOTT
6- Either WaW or Duke
Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Though I respect their opinion, I disagree with it.

It's better than it could have been. #1 squares with the vast majority of Genesis polls though--they did extraordinary work on their (what usually pops into my mind as 3rd album) 5th album.

I think Lamb is high, because it seems their method didn't account for a double-length album.

If our own extended version of "Nursery Cryme" (with two tracks added by us, "Happy the Man" and "Twilight Alehouse" because we think they belong there) counts, then it would be this:

1) Nursery Cryme
2) The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
3) Foxtrot
4) A Trick of the Tail
5) Selling England by the Pound
6) Wind and Wuthering
7) Trespass
8) From Genesis to Revelation
9) Duke
10) The rest

My first thought when I saw the guy hosting that video was, "God, this idiot probably hasn't listened to anything before 'Abacab", but since it turned out to be a poll, I suppose that's mitigated somewhat, and he did turn out to sound like he was familiar with the band's work.

But the whole concept of extrapolating a favourite album based on votes for individual songs is fatally flawed. 'Foxtrot', for example, is hamstrung by having so few songs to receive votes, despite 'Supper's Ready' coming in at #1 (I wonder how 'Close to the Edge' would have fared in a Yes albums poll, using the same method).

I'll add the Genesis Live (1973), my first prog album. I listen to it again recently. This is strange, but after all these years it sounds as good as in my young years. It's a good feeling when you catch your dream on the first try.
