Curved Air.  I saw Curved Air open for Emerson, Lake & Palmer at the Fillmore East in 1971.  What a great show that was.

Sorry I missed your prior.  Any one was able to attend a show at the Fillmore East needs to be paid attend to.
 
Fyi: I never saw Argent but I did see Lee Michaels at the Fillmore East later in the same year you did (in October).  I bet when you saw him he was still playing organ.  When I saw him he had switched to piano only.  Still a great show.
