I have heard a version of Cadence and Cascade with Lake on vocals (a demo, I think), and it does sound much better. I guess it would have been the same for Lady of the dancing water.

^Really don´t think vocals in those songs are crap, although Haskell is my least favourite Crimson-vocalists. And anyway they´re one of my favourite Crimson songs, only little weaker song in Lizard is "Lady Of the Dancing Water" (I believe it would have been greater with for example Lake-vocals).

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Both are good records, but I prefer Lizard.

I feel the same way...it was always one of my least favorites from then and I don't own a copy currently.....
I think someone said earlier in this thread that Schooldays from 3 Friends  was one of their greatest songs . Again it shows how subjective this whole musical selection thingy  really is.
