Topic: Some 80's Rush Songs Posted: April 13 2018 at 13:02 |
Maybe not as prog as their 70's stuff but I thought Rush had some great moments in the 80's. Here's a few deeper cuts form those albums. Which of these would you pick?

I love all of these songs, though "Mission" lands at the bottom of the stack. I'll pick either "Vital Signs" or...the one I'll go with today: "The Enemy Within."

I had to go with Digital Man - cuz of the insane Geddy bass fills! I could have done Vital Signs too, but Digital Man edged it out today.

Digital Man some days, The Enemy Within other days. Voted Digital Man today.

I chose Middletown Dreams if only because "Middletown" is the name of a town I was born in(and later lived in)and also because it had no votes yet.

Indeed, a good list. I would just swap "Mission" for "Open Secrets." That would make it even harder for me. ;)

The only "duds" on HYF are "lock and key" and "prime mover." I actually like "tai shan" even though most would probably consider that one to be the dud.

I've always really liked 'Mission' - especially the live version on 'A Show of Hands'. I wish 80s Rush had more songs of that quality.

I like "Prime Mover" (underrated) and "Lock and Key" more than "Mission." Hardly duds!
