Alex........you trickster you.
;)

The sad thing here is not whether or not VDGG wins....(if they don't then pathos will be their catchword from now on), but the fact that Asia had 4 superb musicians who decided to go for the hit song and radio appeal over writing the prog rock they were capable of doing.

I'm not ashamed to say I really enjoy Asia(mostly the original lineup version though). However, I don't think they are better than VDGG.

Excellent musicians.....and they could have easily done a UK thing if they had wanted to.....I think that Wetton had always wanted to be a 'rock star' (make some money...) with 'hits' ...from what I have read over the years. So that was the direction he wanted to move in.

Just had to do it in the heat of the moment. I think Van der Graaf Generator will be the sole survivor in this poll, but only time will tell. I wouldn't be serious about this in my wildest dreams.

I much prefer VDGG so they get my vote.
Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Technically it said pick your poison so I chose Asia. :P I was going to choose them anyway just to help balance things out a bit. Yeah, I do probably prefer VDGG but when you look at who was in Asia they look at least as good on paper.

Not even close, VdGG...
