Well, it's the eve of the draft...and no 2018 thread has been started yet. I suppose the majority of people who partake in such things has flew the coop, but for those still interested: What do you want your team to do in the draft? How many QBs will be overdrafted in the first round? How will Cleveland f**k up the best chance they've had for a strong draft in some time (which says a lot being they've been drowning in picks for years now)? And of course...go GMEN!

Well, thus far I'm pretty sold on the Giants draft. Near consensus best player in the draft, a 1st round caliber guard, a linebacker, and some beef for the middle of the defensive line, all sound good in theory. Only two more picks for them (unless there is a trade down) but hopefully some more oline and linebacker help will be on the way.

Overall, I'd give the giants a B for their draft. Would have liked another LB or some oline help, but can't disagree (based on need and perceived value) any of the first four picks. Now to let this thread sink like a stone. 8)

Hi,
Cleveland ... 3-13 Oakland ... 9-7 and maybe even 10-6. I doubt what's his name will make a difference! Minnesota ... 11-5 Green Bay ... 9-7 Seattle ... 8-8 Not exactly my forte trying to figure these things out ... my team used to be Oakland for over 30 years ... but the management issues for several years, has just about killed the team for me. I'm a free agent these days! |

^ Meant to post yesterday also but got sidetracked.
Sloppy game last night, Falcons still have red zone problems and had their chances. Eagles ran a slightly different version of Philly Philly play and got a key 1rst down which led to a TD. My useless predictions: NFC: Packers Rams Saints Eagles Vikings Falcons AFC: Patriots Chargers Steelers (without Bell) Jags Ravens Chiefs Dark horses surprises? Seahawks Bengals

First off glad to here you're a Giants fan! ( Go G-Men!) Second I like your picks , the only place I would differ is I like the Chiefs for the last wild card in the AFC but we'll see what happens . Looking forward to the season!

Well, its official, the Steelers defense sucks...again. KC QB looks impressive thus far. They did not address last years defensive issues. Bell hold out, Brown in social media mayhem, if they don't get a win soon they are prime for a meltdown. Next they face the red hot Fitzmagic and the Bucs.
Wilson with Seahawks was running for his life last night against the Bears which a very good D line. Mack is a beast!

This season is looking like a long one for big blue fans again...:/ Chiefs certainly look impressive offensively two weeks in. I'm interested how Mahomes will play against a real defense though.

Yeah, this Brown thing is funny, at least for non PIT fans. :p If I was a raiders fan, I would be quite upset with the loss of Mack .

Bucs were almost a go :)
What the heck happened to the Vikings, they got taken to the woodshed.
Steelers D was a little bit better last night, but still allowed Fitz to throw for over 400 yards again and pull to within 3. Offense was on fire in the 1rst half and then did much of nothing the 2nd half. Both are concerning... Maybe we can have a week without drama...nah what am I thinking. Next up is the bi-annual bloodbath with the Ravens. Man that Vance McDonald stiff arm on the TD play was outrageous! |

Not happy about it but I have to hope Gruden has a plan. I'm still pretty irritated by the 12-4 tease in 2016. What a letdown and then to be followed up by 6-10 last year. Ugh

Steelers lay another turd last night against the hated Ravens. Still a "little" time left to turn things around, but not much.
Seahawks squeak by Cards but lose Earl Thomas who flipped off his own bench being carted off. Most likely the injury will cost him big time in his contract squabble. Da Bears are looking formidable! See if the Chiefs can continue their offensive show tonight against Denver.

Well the Steelers pulled out a tough one against the Bengals, now the division is getting a little jammed up, although the improved Browns got thumped yesterday. Ravens seem to be the team to beat in AFC North.
Seahawks pounded the Oakland Grudens in England.. The Chiefs/Patriots game was a good watch.

Time for the giants to embarrass themselves again in front of a national audience! Hopefully the poor atlanta defense will help this game not get totally out of control. Some crazy ends of games this past week. it's been pretty fun.

^ Giants did not do bad last night, but the offense looks at times out of sync and O line is dreadful. They had opportunities to win.
Loved the Ravens loss by the never miss kicker Tucker hooking an extra point that would have tied the game. Saints win. We'll see if Bell shows up at Steelers for his money this week, they clash with the Browns next.

Time to rebuild. Up date, on a related note I just heard Eli Apple has been traded to the Saints. Let the deconstruktion begin!
