My all time favourite is Awaken, the epitome of symphonic prog to these ears.

I have, however, been watching that fantastic live version of Gates of Delirium at Queens Park Rangers on YouTube quite a bit recently. The energy they produced for that was incredible.

^ For me it's the symphonic live version of Gates that I feel as the definitive one.

I honestly don't get the hate for "Ritual." It's one of the wildest things Yes has ever done but so is "the gates of delirium" and "ancient." I think it's a remarkable piece of music and maybe one of their most under rated. However, I think the version on yesshows is probably better than the one on tales.

Ritual. It needs more votes

I don't hate Ritual... I guess I don't even dislike it. I just don't like it so much. I guess it gets a bit annoying and repetitive in the chorus parts, and the instrumental section doesn't really do much for me.

^I don´t hate it either like not any other Yes song. I just think it´s has some really boring moments like the percussion parts. Also that "nussissoleel" always cheers me (David knows why). To me it has always seemed their ideas end in that last part of their massive epic and they just have to put something in it to make it as long as those others.

Close to the Edge is like... just too perfect. It's too good. I don't think they ever got CLOSE to that again. LOL

I see Awaken is getting quite a few votes, so I listened to it again to refresh my memory as to how great it is. But even so, I just had to vote for Close to the Edge.
