Forest god is a solo project by the bass player of Superscum (Dark country from Denmark)

With help from some of Peter Kiel Jørgensen’s friends he has created a very moody and melancholic album with a great story behind it.

Forest god puts a great effort into telling stories and pays attention to all the small details in the creation of epic music.

For Peter Kiel Jørgensen one of the most important parts of his music is the silence and pauses. The dynamics and build up is the main Focus in Forest god’s music.

Forest god plays progressive rock with both complex rythms and time signature changes, beautiful melodies and epic guitar solos.

Please have a listen on spotify or youtube:

Hi Peter
Fellow Dane here! I have forwarded your suggestion to the Heavy Prog team here on PA as I found the music reminiscent of Anekdoten, Katatonia and (some) Opeth, who all reside in that category. Anyway it's just a box.

Welcome to PA btw:) Hope you stick around. There's plenty of opportunity here to wreck one's bank account on new music...and the older more cumbersome to come by albums that cost a small fortune. But yeah feel free to ask for recs on anything. Folks on here are very diverse in their tastes.

Cheers David

Hi David

Thanks a lot for your help. It's always fun to hear what people think of when they listen to the music Smile
I'm trying do keep all doors open and some songs sound a lot different than "The Long Night" <-- The song from the link.
I will definitely stick around. I love to get to know new music.
Have a great day

Don't worry I don't put too much stock into stickers and boxes, although they do come in handy from time to time. Hell, if you look at the Heavy Prog gebre and the bands listed there you'll quickly pick up on how diverse the box becomes. The Mars Volta, Rush and Anekdoten all reside there but really don't sound much alike....maybe aside from a general "heavy" approach to riffs and double pedal from the drums...a little like Forest God actually but not the same.
