For me, it's a tie between 'Red' and 'Lamb'. I'd probably give the edge to 'Red' because the song "Starless" blows away anything else on this last. After those two, for me it's Zappa, Yes and then Supertramp. For some reason 'Relayer' has never clicked for me despite multiple efforts. Except for the "Soon" part, which is fantastic.

Red. Because of originality (proto prog metal) and the masterpiece Starless.

I think I was disappointed when I heard Red for the first time but then I fell totally for its raw charm.

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

1974 was such a great year for albums (and 72 and 73). Just those three years were really central for defining the genre.

My favourite album from 1974 though, is Roxy and Elsewhere (Zappa, of course, my favourite Zappa album - better than Apostrophe).
