Three of the most influential bands fromnthe U.K whom hails from the 60s and gave esque and ians to bands sound be it Beatelesque elements, floydian tappestries or Whovian ernestness. This can be quite exieting.

Three of my favorite bands. I went with the Beatles but all are great in their own way.

No contest between The Beatles and anyone else, but I would like to know what "esque and ians " are?

The Beatles is still the most important band in pop music, but it´s Pink Floyd for me personally. Really love also the Who and they have been also really important to me and the music.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect. |

Interesting that Catcher said The Beatles was boring pop music because that's how I feel about much of Floyd's music.....boring.

I kind of agree - I do like the Floyd but they can send me to sleep faster than any other band.

I realised that after I posted but my response got captchad and I couldn't be arsed to retype it. esque or ian? I think it just depends on what sounds best. a band could be Floyd-esque or Floydian.

Kind of disappointing that only 15 people have voted........would have though at least twice that .
Is there a 'classic rock poll' with all the greats listed in the poll? Say 12 or 15 bands? ps: I think the older one is the more likely one is to vote Beatles....many of us 'grew up' with them and they are such a large part of our cultural/music background....that it's hard not to accept them as the largest influence on that level.
