Hi, I am a member who used to be active a few years back under the name of Cacha71, but I lost my password and the email address I had for that account is now defunct, so I was unable to sign in under that name, so decided to start afresh.

Anyway, needless to say, I'm a huge prog rock fan, particularly 70s prog rock, progressive folk, symphonic progressive, Neo-prog and psychedelic/space rock. I also listen to folk rock, classic rock and metal.

I particularly like to explore the music of other countries and in other languages (other than English), seeking out lesser known artists and hopefully unearthing a few hidden gems, particularly those with folk influences :)

Welcome back!

You may know these already, but if not here's four you might like:

Soldato of the Pan Head Mafia. We'll make you an offer you can't listen to.

Thanks - great stuff! I already know the first four, Companyia Electrica Dharma is new to me. Not so obscure, but I also like Itoiz, Tri Yann, Malicorne, and , more recently, Thork.

Thanks, but not necessary. It was a long time ago, and my tastes have changes a bit since then.

Of those I don't know Tri Yann, dig the others - though I only really got into the first Thork album, I thought they became less interesting after that. I also very much like the related (Maurin brothers) projects Nil and Syrinx.

I prefer Thork's first album Urdoxa, too, the last, Nula Jeden, being the weakest - though I love the first track, Ex-Slave. Nil is good, I don't know Syrinx. Another one to check out :)
