Hey everyone,
Just curious to see what albums you all are looking forward to hearing in the second half of 2018.

First and foremost for me is the new TOOL album...although we all know this might not happen this year either. The new Phideaux is also pretty high on my list.

Riverside - Westland!!!

We've just started recordings for the new, seventh Riverside album (traditionally, in Serakos Studio in Warsaw). It will be our first album recorded as a trio.

Because "our world ended" two years ego, we've decided that the new release will be "post apocalyptic" in nature. We've been toying with such sound for quite some time but now the story has gained a much deeper meaning.

And because of the "post-apo" nature of the album, the music will be much heavier and darker, but still atmospheric, full of soundscapes and with a lot of live instruments.

It sounds promising to me, I wasn't big fun of their last album, it was to soft in parts :)

And just announced, new Spectrum Orchestrum album to come in October.

Their 2014 album still gets spins here, so I'll be ordering this.

Coheed and Cambria - their first concept album since 2013. They've released one song from it so far and it's incredible.
I use they/them pronouns (feel free to ask me about this!)

Check out my music on my bandcamp!

Nothing atm. It's been a very quiet year so far for bands I like. Kino and Spock's Beard are all I have from 2018 so far, and The Sea Within hasn't particularly grabbed me yet with what they've released.

Hi,

Actually not looking for anything ... with progressive and prog, I really think it is always best to be surprised by anything that comes up ... and having expectations, is a problem, in that it never is as good as what you hope for and want to hear.

So for me ... whatever arrives in my ears is just fine.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Well you're in for a treat!
And not just Steve, but Justin Hayward, Annie Haslam, and Billy Sherwood too!
