There are a few albums but I think my favourite one is ''David Gilmour - David Gilmour''.
I remember liking it only for Raise My Rent, a beautiful blues guitar instrumental and liking it as a whole later.

While Tormato isn't the pile of crap some make it out to be(although it admittedly does have a rather lame album cover)I nonetheless voted for Hemispheres.

Yeah, that David Gilmour debut solo album is pretty solid. The opening instrumental track Mihalis is really good too.

And Then there were three in 2nd place. The DG album mentioned above is a good one too... Edited by flyingveepixie - November 01 2018 at 01:57 |

My avatar gives it away; my favorite album from that year is Giger Lenz Marron's Where The Hammer Hangs-so astounding, for me, it is in a class by itself.

I can't remember if I voted UK or rush...Both excellent. The big boys were on their way out in 1978. Tormato and The god awful ATTWT...are imposters on the list...I'm sure a lot of the other suggestions are better than those two lame recordings...

Gotta go with the UK boys-- they were fresh, original, and featured one of the best lineups in the biz ~ Edited by Atavachron - April 14 2019 at 23:46 |
