So there is a Raniassance songs poll going right now, and I though it would be really difficult for me to choose if these were the songs being chosen from, so what do you think?

I think Song of Scheherazade is the better one here. But it is not an easy choice

I'll go for Mother Russia out of these three great epics.

Well said. It's not an easy choice, since all of them are excellent.

Voted "Ashes Are Burning," but the version from Live at Carnegie Hall. If voting strictly studio versions, then I'd go with "Mother Russia," which also is on Live in a superior version to the original. In fact, if you have Live at Carnegie Hall, you pretty much have the best of Renaissance, minus a few key tunes (Black Flame, Trip to the Fair, etc.)

Assuming we are voting on the studio versions, I pick Mother Russia.  If one of the many great live versions, I pick Ashes are Burning.  I think Song of Sheherazade has great moments but is a bit bloated, and the other side of that album is much better

The last few tours they have done Trip to the Fair really well

This series of polls reminds me how great Renaissance were.

All these are wonderful, but I'll go for Ashes are Burning.

I could toss a three sided coin here or just vote for all. SoS is there pinnacle but I voted for Mother Russia, a song that not only has great music but an emotional impact. If you haven't read Solzheniytsen (sic) do so by all means.

I like all three very much, but I’m with the majority on this one. Song of Scheherazade gets my vote.

By the way, this Captcha crap is getting even worse. Just to make this f*cking post, I had to check boxes for street signs, crosswalks and then goddamn bridges.
