I find some of the sections of Gentle Giant and Kingdome Come to share some similarities, spessialy im the organ department and bass-work. Both highly quirky albums with excentrisities. Ballance of high musicianship, and playfullness.

It was an automatic vote for Kingdom Come (an album that doesn't get a lot of attention in these parts), but I do like In a Glass House also very much.

That's a tough one since I haven't heard Kingdom Come in a long time......I'll have to dig that one out....have it on cd only.

Well....Kingdom Come is the weakest of the 3 he did with them....Galactic Zoo and Journey are better albums overall....but I suppose Glass House is better than that second Kingdom Come lp.

To be fair I didn't vote, since I haven't heard this Kingdom Come deal. But I also find it very hard to believe that it could be better than In a freaking Glass House by the Giant. Though if Logan says it's good then I'm sure it is(just not THAT good). He was right about Focus and Tangerine Dream.

There's a reason why it only has one vote, and I rather regret my impulsiveness (though it's nice to see both albums get some appreciation). It's not as good as In a Glass House, and Dr Wu is right about it. Galactic Zoo Dossier and Journey are also to me both better albums. Listening again to the Kingdom Come album was not as enjoyable an experience as I remember. I do often favour underdogs as well as what I most feel like listening to at any given time. It had been so long since I listened to Kingdom Come, and was pleased enough to see his name, that I made an auto-vote. Still, I do think it would be worth your while checking out Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come (the band rather than a particular album). I like Galactic Zoo Dossier the most of the Kingdom Come albums, followed by Journey.

Ok, I'll have to see if I can find this Galactic Zoo Dossier deal on youtube or something to check it out. Thank you. Your suggestions in the past have always been good so I'll be surprised if I don't end up liking this.

Journey and Galactic Doo Dosiere smoke the gentle giant. I'm not so sure about this particular showdown though. It's been a while since I span either. I generally stick to earlier GG albums and later KC ones

Had to relisten to Kingdom Come and its a fun mess - except when its more of a mess than fun that is. Like most I much prefer Galactic Zoo Dossier and Journey (with probably the latter as my absolute favorite). I usually love Arthur Brown + his voice, his far out and surreal sense of humor etc. But on the album in question it seems to me that more often than not he performs with this silly character persona - and ends up coming across like he doesn't "mean" a single world he is singing. Not something I usually have any problems with but it somehow it just rubs me the wrong way here.
In a Glass House House is a solid prog rock classic and impressive in many ways but I don't consider the actual material on it to be all that memorable. Still the best of these two...

totally lopsided affair, IMHO GG's best album pitted against AB's KC's worst... If at least Journey (my fave) or GZD (equally fave) had been chosen...
