Many of these are in the top 250 so i'd hardly call them not so well known, but there are some gems here for sure. I honestly can't pick one but i;ll pick a few. Osanna, Supersister, Weidorje, Marsupilami, Samla Mamas Manna, Dun and Moving Gelatine Plates all tie for first place! Everything else is a close 2nd! LOL

That was the reason why I opted for "not so well known" instead of "obscure" gems. Granted. It's a terrible name for a poll.

I have to come clean. I haven't heard Trace or Sinkadus so they don't come in 2nd :P

Many excellent albums, but because Inga Rumpf is so very underappreciated here I'll go with "Frumpy 2". "Weidörje", "Clearlight Symphony", "Celestial Ocean", "Electric Silence" and "Arena" would have been my other possible choices.

Lot of old favourites here... most of them really. As for 2018 I would go for one of these five:

The World Of Genius Hans
To The Highest Bidder
Eros
St. Radigunds
Haikara

Haikara is the only album I´ve heard from these, but because it´s so great, I voted it.

Some nice ones here. I pick Supersister, but Jan Dukes de Grey, Clearlight and the Zeuhl albums are also fine.

Birds by Trace is the only album of those I would really want to own and play regularly, though Garden Shed is very nice.

A TVR is not a car. It's a way of life.

Check out MIA's "Cornonstipicum", or Sinkadus "Cirkus" if you don't already know these. I think you may like them.

I don't know them all, but that Frumpy album is great, so it got my vote :)

I have heard St. Radigunds (didn´t notice it at first), but I don´t think it´s as great as Haikara. I prefer Pentangle & Fairport Convention.

Frustrating or interesting, it depends. I know I'm not the very best expert on prog but a long list of not totally obscure stuff of which I know so little (only 2 full albums and bits and pieces from a few others) hurts...
I vote for Samla Mammas Manna despite this not being their best effort for me.

Wow. This is a tough poll. So much great stuff here. But ultimately I voted Sinkadus, just over Clearlight Symphony. For those who haven't heard Sinkadus, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! Anyone who likes Anglagaard or Anekdoten should appreciate Sinkadus as well.

OMG! You're missing out on some of the best music ever recorded. This is a great list which is why it was impossible for me to pick one.

Lots of favorites that I regularly spin here.  My winner is:

Asia Minor (either of their 1st 2 albums would've gotten my vote, though Between Flesh & Divine is the better of the 2)

Followed by:

Maxophone
Devil Doll
Clearlight
SBB
England
