It seems to me that it's possible that KC were influenced by this T Heads album(especially when you consider who played on it). But that aside I'm wondering which album you guys prefer.

I see the similarities and so have tried to get into the Talking Heads but for whatever reason they just don't do it for me.

KC. The Heads have some cool songs, but I've never been into 'em.

I liked the Talking Heads Remain in Light---but prefer anything with Bill Bruford in it.

I do like Talking Heads, but it's very seldom that anything wins over King Crimson.  It's Discipline for me.

This is one of those that's hard to take seriously. Compared to KC, the Heads are little more than a catchy novelty act.

theres a sameness to the sound on the Talking Heads that gets to me---Discipline's songs are more diverse and therefore more interesting and a better record.

Well, to be fair this is about individual albums not bands. So far it's been interesting and kind of like a football or basketball game in the way the score has been going back and forth.

I've tried, but I cannot get into either band at all.

Talking Heads are fine, but they can't hold a candle to KC.  Discipline all the way.

I usually prefer King Crimson over Talking Heads, but not here.
