If you count mellotron as keyboards, there was no KC record without them. Fripp is accomplished mellotronist
yet you still have time!

Well, Queen used some synths in the 70's... huh, let me see... what about 'Get Down, Make Love'? Not really a pop song... Oh, forget it...

There are no synths in that song, just weird effects near the end. But in the last notes of those effects you hear that it's actually guitars.

K ..im sorry..i hate Opeth so i have only heard very little of their stuff, the stuff i heard did not have keys...
I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

What about The Construction of Light, The Power to Believe and the various live albums that came from the associated tours? Not a trace of mellotron there.

DeadSoul Tribe - practically no keys (although There there are songs like Lady of Rain), and still considered prog... Althought me thinks Devon Hired a kyboard player for the tour or somethin... He uesd 2 play some key bits on his own...

dead sure, I'm an obsesed crimsoid
I've also seen them performing this track on Eyes Wide Open dvd. Like I said, they didn't use mellotron since '74. Only some syths in the '80.
