^ Same here except it was the Monkees a few years earlier with "I'm a Believer". Not one of Neil's best. On the other hand in '73 A Passion Play was #1 as well. Rolling Stone said it was "a pop potpourri of Paradise Lost and Winnie The Pooh", and called it "expensive, tedious nonsense".  No argument there, but very interesting to see what was being both panned and flying off shelves just a few years later. |

Excerpt from 'A Teenage Opera' - Keith West. It reached No.2 in the UK singles charts in 1967.
'Grocer Jack' (as my Mum called it) had a touch of psychedelia to it. Keith was part of Tomorrow as well. Well usually it has to do with someone sucking someone's private parts and then moving on to more adventurous exploitations. Often lots of money is involved. Drug runs. You get the gist.
