Musical Box over Hogweed

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect. |

Hog.
Still don’t know what’s so good about Musical box |
|
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

For me, it's:
1. Fountain 2. Hogweed 3. Box Very solid recording, where Genesis truly "picks up" IMHO.

Tough call, as all these are favorites. Going with Fountain for this poll.

I dig the jazzy groove of Fountain of Salmacis, and also Hackett's adaptation of standard blues bending.

Same. Box is just average. I'd rather a 2 minute song with a great melody

One song in this poll is saying "why don't you vote for me, vote for me, vote for me. Vote for me now, now, now, now now....!"

The epics that bookends this album are probably both in my Genesis top three. I guess Fountain of Salmacis but it used to be Musical Box (an early favorite and introduction to prog).

I'm surprised "return of the giant hogweed" didn't get more votes. Maybe people on here prefer the Genesis live version. Not sure.
