I have to go with Robert Fripp because he has some of the most original guitar work out of all of them, but there are some great ones listed here.

My overall favourites are David Gilmour and Steve Howe. In the end I go with Gilmour.

a little word about Roman Bunka: he is a guitar player whose praise is never sung (except by Friede and me), yet he is absolutely phenomenal. his first solo album "Dein Kopf ist ein schlafendes Auto" is one of the best albums ever, but hardly anyone knows it
