My fourth favorite Genesis record against my second or third favorite Floyd. This one's closer, both albums have lows in the form of More Fool Me and Welcome to the Machine.
Genesis it is. |

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

SEBTP is my Genesis number one or two, whereas Wish You Were Here is quite a bit further down in the Floyd pile, so Genesis for this one.

This is a tough one. SEBTP has higher highs & lower lows. WYWH is more consistent so it gets my vote, Very close though.

This one is tougher. But as I'm Genesis fan and SEBTP is maybe their best record (with Foxtrot) my vote goes to Genesis.

SEBTP is actually my least favourite Gabriel ear Genesis album (excepting FGTR whcih I can barely remember. I don't know why; it just never ever grabbed me. I istened to it right through recently and still found it just didn't work for me). WYWH isn't my favourite Floyd, but it wins this in a canter for me. |

Yeah. For me, this poll sort of reflects what I said in the "Pink Floyd Vs. Genesis" poll. There are parts of Wish You Were Here that I love, but overall I prefer Selling England By The Pound. |

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Wish You Were Here. Every song is good. There is no Epping Forest droning on for a quarter of the album.

Very very close, but Genesis takes my vote. Tomorrow might be Pink Floyd, but today is Selling England By The Pound.

He neither drank, smoked, nor rode a bicycle. Living frugally, saving his money, he died early, surrounded by greedy relatives. It was a great lesson to me -- John Barrymore
