Hello everyone! I am a really big and dedicated fan of music :) I would be interested if any of you could do my prog quiz, which I made myself. Yes, it's HARD, prolly the hardest you have ever done related to prog. A couple of friends of mine did it and got 1/10. They are extremely knowledged when it comes to music and prog especially. If you do it, please don't use Google :D But believe me, I don't think even Google can help you getting all the answers correct haha. Feel free to ask any questions and good luck!

1. All Genesis albums and songs between 1970-1975 in order.

2. Who Fripp wishes had never awakened?

3. Which song Steven Wilson composed at the age of 14?

4. Who plays the "guitar" solo at the end of ”Plague of the lighthouse keepers”?

5. Whose albums starts with ”Sea Song” and ends up with an ultimate climax. What happens there and who plays it?

6. Which streaming site features ”Larks tongue in aspic”. The whole album.

7. Which birthday present appears between prog musicians?

8. Which song has so called ”mirror world” part.

9. Jon Anderson’s favourite song in Yes discography.

10. Who legendary musician loved ”Selling england py the pound”?

I will answer Nr. 4: It is not a guitar solo, it is Hugh Banton on organ.

And Nr. 5 is "Rock Bottom" by Robert Wyatt.

It's actually a guitar solo? Or am I wrong in this one. The one that starts at 21.15 and rock bottom is correct also for the album.

Trust me, you are wrong on this one. Many (including me) have believed it is a guitar solo by Robert Fripp. But if you read the Van der Graaf Generator book you will learn that it is Hugh Banton on organ doing a perfect imitation of Robert Fripp.

Here is a difficult question for you: The only album of which psychedelic band was only available at porn shops in Amsterdam? Tongue

You sir are a master in act. 1,3,4,5,6,9,10 are now answered correctly.

About the question number 7. Mikael Åkerfeldt gave Steven Wilson a birthday present, it was something related to music... That is quite good hint I think.

The unanswered questions are 2,7,8 at the moment + on the 5:th there is still missing who plays the climax of the album.

No clear ideas about the remaining questions to be answered. I knew #1 and I had the right hunch concerning #9. Prince Rupert at #2?

About #5: there are quite a few prog musicians who play guest roles on the album. And what is the climax? The last track, you suggest. Do you mean the tale told by the blokie with the Scottisch accent? If I remember it right, he was first-named Ivor or Ifor.

Prince Rupert is the correct one :D Nice job dude, that was not an easy question!

As for the climax, I mean the guitar solo just before the tale :) And for the tale i'm pretty sure its Ivor too, not completely sure tho.

So 7,8 left + the guitar solo on 5, almost there...

Yup! Mikael gave the main riff as a birthday present for Steven.

One more left :) It is maybe the hardest one but still possible.

I'll hazard a guess: Jimi Hendrix Experience – Electric Ladyland.

(I know, it's probably Amon Düül II, right?)
