Tough. Probably the best two on Mirage. Going with “Lady Fantasy,” though.

Option #1, but both great answers.

White Rider takes it for me, just slightly. Great solos from Bardens and Latimer.
Bigger on the inside.

I love Lady Fantasy but I think I listened to it a bit too much in some periods of my life, with the effect that Nimrodel... now sounds fresher to me.

I'm one of those who really like Camel's music, and I'm having a very hard time choose, so no vote from me.

Even though I mostly liked the whole album from first listen, the first song that cought my ear for a favourite one was The White Rider. However, I have come to love Lady Fantasy even more (though somehow I like a bit better the alternate bonus version included on my CD).

I always thought of "lady fantasy" as a poor man's starship trooper. Anyway, that's what I voted for.

Love botb of them, so probably both equally, but I'll give it to Nimrodel today.

Mirage is a matserpiece from the start to the end.

Of course it's about opinions, but I'd add Raaz to the lot.
The two weakest albums for me are The Single Factor and Dust and Dreams. From Rain Dances to Nude there are weak moments, but these albums have set the Camel sound. Stationary Traveller and Harbour of tears are great, too. The first is just a bit too 80s in the sounds.

Big fan of Rajaz as well and of course snow goose. I agree with you on the weakest, though I’ve never been able to really get into stationary traveler, Nude stands out as my favorite album of the 80s from them.

Stationary Traveller is son of its time. Camel actually tried to sound "modern". It was the Roland/Yamaha DX7/Fairlight age, and fairlight is hugely used in the album. Rick Wright's "ZEE - Identity" has the same defect, but I really like both.

Both are great, but Nimrodel fits today's mood.
Welcome to the middle of the film.
