Which of these two albums do you think is better?:

Wobbler (Norway) - From Silence To Somewhere (2017)

All Traps On Earth (Sweden) - A Drop Of Light (2018)

These two symphonic prog albums are not only from artists who are geographical neighbours but also the albums are temporal neighbours as well, so these two albums are well matched for the poll.

My initial thought was that "A Drop Of Light" was the preferred album, but lately I've come to think that "From Silence To Somewhere" is the better album, so much so that I recently used it as an example of "What is Progressive Rock?". "A Drop Of Light" was also considered, but it fell a little bit short of what I was looking for.

Only heard Wobbler, so they get the nod.
Welcome to the middle of the film.

Heard both. Wobbler. Al traps on earth is good but lacks the melodies that wobbler excels in

Matching two albums that both won the AotY contest hands down is a good base for a poll, even though the results so far may reflect otherwise. I'd pick Wobbler (five stars against four, the #3 in my 2017 list versus the #14 in 2018).

Wobbler get my vote also, and I also think that All Traps on Earth is great, just not as good as Wobbler.

Two great modern Prog albums that have (deservedly) made it onto the All-Time Top 100!!!

But that Wobbler LP is better.

This is one where I could have gone for the "both equally" option.
There are times my mood will be better satisfied with Traps, but most days, I'd probably go with Wobbler (so I just barely leaned that way).  So a vote for the Norwegians it is.

Now if we look across prog in its entirety, I'd probably give the nod to the Swedes overall.

But if we start talking Classical, I'm back to the Norwegians... or more likely the Finns if I can expand across all the north country.

And in totally unrelated news from the north, I also dig Viking Metal.

I don't remember both albums so well, but I did buy the Wobbler one because I did like it. I checked All Trapps on Earth and didn't really do much for me, so Wobbler it is. However, I did think this would be closer, given all the love that All Traps on Earth got last year.

I want to add something about all traps on earth, there are some jaw droppingly good moments, but I think it runs a little long and it sounds a bit to samey by the end. But it is a very good album.
