The write modern prog in the title, it would make more sense.

There's just no pleasing some people. LOL

it's not a matter of pleasing, you are just incorrect and possibly ignorant this time.
Just stick to the things you know.

Are you a Neo-Prog Nazi? LOL

Wow. on that note this will be locked too.

You're more than welcome to vote for whoever you want in the poll, whether or not you regard them as Neo-Prog. Smile

Anathema and The Tangent are not listed under neo-prog in PA.
Echolyn, Flower Kings, Spocks Beard and Translantic are under symphonic.
It Bites and Saga are crossover.
Mars Volta and Porcupine Tree are heavy prog.
Oceansize are space.

I think the poll needs to be renamed.

Porcupine Tree are just too good to leave out of the poll, even if they're more Heavy Prog than Neo-Prog. Smile

I wanted to include Mostly Autumn in the poll too, but that may have been stretching the definition of Neo-Prog a little too far. Smile

At the end of the day, all these labels are so subjective, so I'm happy to find PT anywhere!

labels are subjective? No they're not, our taste, preferences, that's subjective.

Thank you! Good move! I was thinking the same. But I was also thinking the same about Pallas, so they get my vote, even if in all honesty my vote would normally have gone to Marillion...

I've revived this old Neo-Prog poll for Cristi, mainly because it features Marillion, who are currently leading the poll. Smile

Can you change the thread title to something else, there are only 10 neo-prog bands in the poll, if you claim to be nice and do things for me... LOL
It's a bit late to change the poll title now when it's a year old, and besides, we already had the "discussion" about what is and isn't Neo-Prog, and we agreed to disagree, Smile

"let's agree to disagree" is just an excuse to avoid discussion.

You have revived the worst poll you ever made. Congratulations!

And yes, you can change the thread title, if you want to that is...
