sounds tame considering the epidemic of schizophrenia which took out ..  ummm...with axes LOL  .. several legendary 70's drummers.

perhaps that is why even though I loved drumming more than playing bass..  I decided between my additctions to booze, broads and blow I needed to stick with what I was best at. not what I truly loved. That would have even been too much for me..  I was surprised I made it to 50.. if I had stuck with drums.. I wouldn't have made it to 30.

King Crimson perhaps

Didn't they have the same lineup throughout the 80s?

Yep. Bruford, Fripp, Belew and Levin were the only musicians on the three 80's albums afaik. Trey Gunn and Pat Mastelotto came later. The last two studio albums were with the same lineup also.

I would imagine this thread has to do with bands that NEVER had a change from the very beginning til the end but that's just my guess

I didn't specify but first album and on is fair I think.

There were other drummers before Pete Best and a number of other members as well - assorted guitarists, bass players and washboard players.

What is it with drummers.  They drop like flies.

Besides the Beatles, I can only think of Queen, if you consider them prog enough. Many had a classic period line—up, like Yes, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, and so on, but that’s another topic I guess.
