It's not easy to pick a favourite when there are so many good albums to choose from, but I'm leaning towards "Moonmadness"

Albums 2 - 4 is one of those classic three album runs that few have matched. All three are most worthy, but I have no problem picking Mirage.

yes Moonmadness , though honestly love Stationary Traveller almost as much...it's kind of like Moonmadness for the 1980s.  Snow Goose is close too

Mirage. I am not a fan of Moonmadness, although I know many are.
He neither drank, smoked, nor rode a bicycle. Living frugally, saving his money, he died early, surrounded by greedy relatives. It was a great lesson to me -- John Barrymore

I'll go with Moonmadness, though I like all of the first 6 albums.

Incredibly, mine is the first vote for Rain Dances.

Voted for Mirage. I love Snow Goose, but I prefer the live version of '78 live album. Love the debut and Moonmadness as well
I'm guitarist and songwriter for the prog-related band Mother Bass. Find us at http://www.motherbass.com. I also enter stages throughout the Netherlands performing my poetry.

Since I'm a big Camel fan, I find very hard to make a choice. Moonmadeness and The Snow Goose might tie for first place, but I'm not sure if I can vote one over the other. Rajaz is another one I really enjoy, along with Harbour of Tears and Dust and Dreams. All great albums!!!

Snowgoose seems to be very under rated on this site so I went with that. Mirage is great but other than a few tracks moonmadness never did much for me.

Also I’d like to add that nude and Nod and a Wink are fantastic albums (hence the profile picture)

"A Nod and a Wink" is one of the few Camel album I still haven't got around to listening to. If I saw it in the shops I'd buy the album without even needing to listen to it first, because I know I wouldn't be disappointed. The only Camel album that didn't live up to expectations was "The Single Factor" from 1982.

The single factor was simply made to fulfill contract obligations. By then the real Camel has disbanded after Andy ward attempted suicide and all that was left was latimer with the camel name. I’ve never been a big fan of stationary traveler or Harbour of Tears but I understand why people like them. Rajaz and Nod however are a fantastic return for the band.
