In at least one thread (One Word to Describe You within Just For Fun) several posts I’ve made have inserted an image of an ad such as appears at the top of the webpage. I’ve been able to delete these and try again. But in my attempts at reposting, this problem has started to continue in relenting.

I've had all kinds of weird ad things going on. I finally download AdBlocker and all good however you have to download it for each browser and when i visit the site on Safari it seems like i'm being punished with all kinds of ads especially ones that say my computer is infected. Now it seems Safari is pissed as well so i'm going Firefox all the way.

In FF I'm happy with  the recommended NoScript add-on - it blocks all kind of nuisances while being flexible enough for site-by-site individual config.

I understand the need for ad revenue, but in the last week they have become obtrusive and intolerable.

I have no problem with them at the top or bottom of pages but within posts?

Completely ridiculous.

Aye, I’ve been presuming this is a glitch. I hope it is. The ad insertion has come for me when I was using my iPhone. I switched back to my computer and the bit had posted thus far occurred without trouble.

I've not had any issues on IE at work or on Firefox at home. Weird.

I use ad blocking software/ browsers at this site on every device. I'm sorry that affects revenue, as revenue is what keeps the site going, but the ads have been so invasive, unpleasant and concerning at times that I have felt it necessary.

I like to use Opera for the site.

I've been noticing this as well. I want to keep AdBlock turned off for PA but this is getting hard to bear. If it turns out this is Lord M@Ximillian screwing us over I will turn it back on for sure.
