As usual, as news of other releases come to light, they will be added to this list.  All of the monthly lists for 2019 are updated at least once a month, so it is always a good idea to visit the previous months to see if you have missed anything.  Below are the links to the previous months New Release lists for 2019:

http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=121092    September

http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=120863     August

http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=120650&PID=5674254     July

http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=120397      June

http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=120215      May

http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=120024      April

http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=119833      March

http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=119574      February

http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=118328      January

My favorites for the month are (in no particular order)

  1. Bent Knee – “You Know What They Mean”
  2. Loosense – “Saloon”
  3. Cosmic Ground – “Cosmic Ground 5”
  4. District 97 – “Screens”
  5. October Equus – “Presagios”

There are still several I haven’t heard yet, including Swans new album.  Hopefully I can add some more to that favorites list for October.

Thank you for all of your support and comments.

It’s good to know these lists are helpful.

Very helpful indeed, thanks! I don't buy/listen to a lot of new music but it's always good to know what's out from my favorites.

A little late isn't it? Shouldn't you be posting releases for November 2019 instead? It's November first now. ;)

Thanks again. Great list as usual. I'm certainly in debt to you for taking your time to compile this list.

I'm worried about Phrozenlight now - only 2 releases this month?

Yes but they are both over 100 minutes each.

Try "Music for the Office". It lasts exactly 8 hours to cover a full working day. As usual you can's say one track from another...
Curiosity killed a cat, Schroedinger only half.

The best month for Prog, I'd say. Your top 2 are currently on the top of my AOTY list, and Cosmic Ground not much below. By the way, I got to see Loosense (reduced to six members) last weekend and they played most of the new album. It was a fantastic performance, they were having a great time on stage, despite the unfortunately small audience.

I'm a newcomer to Loosense, but I really do like what I hear from them.  It's too bad the crowd was small, but I would imagine it was a great concert anyway.

Thanks for making me realize I made a mistake in my top list, I had it down as Common Ground instead of Cosmic Ground.  I must have been in a hurry there at the end of the list.

^^ I think they would have played with the same passion even if the venue was empty. It was pretty awkward when the drummer said "It's the first time we play in this town. Who knows our work? *I raise my hand* One person, cool!".

I noticed that but forgot to point it out. I ordered it the other day, I can't wait to really listen to it at home. I got most of his CD's and I highly recommend "III" if you'd like to explore more.

These artists have not yet been accepted into the Archives.  To be added to the new release lists, they must first be approved by the respective sub-genre teams.
