An interesting matchup between two awesome latest albums from these bands. I vote Rajaz because it’s one of my rare 5 star albums, love it. TPTB is an awesome album, but There’s a couple middle tracks that I’m not huge on.

^^^ Absolutely apples & oranges.

Personally I prefer TPTB, but Rajaz is a pretty decent late Camel album.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

These have very different moods and it really depends on the mood of the day which I'd want to listen to. Today rather KC.

Wow, is Rajaz really that good? I have read people have liked it... but also The Power to Believe is among prog's favourites from after the 70's, so both standing up so close...

Rajaz is pretty one of a kind, atleast I can’t think of any other albums that sound like it. It is close for me though.

I'll give a nod and a wink to Camel's final album of original material too. Wink

I didn't like Rajaz that much when I got it some 5 years after they had recorded it. It's just so slow and soft, lacking edge. However I've got to say it has grown on me. Taking it for what it is, it has a very consistent and unique sound in line with its theme, it has absolutely stunning guitar playing, and even the compositions shine more if listened to in the right mood. There's more to find on that album than I initially thought. It's still a bit too tranquil for me over its whole length (some of which is dispensable), but it has risen from 2.5 stars to 3.5 over time and there's maybe more to come.
