Quite a gem
best song you are -i am the album although not progressive rock it does lean towards the territory in a Alan parsons project way resurrection has good a classical vibe angels at my gate a great song for being a part of ,what i believe was concept album Hollywood town i think was to be the hit off the record ,overall a decent record any other thoughts was it a progressive rock outing or not ? thanks for reading my review. Not bad at all, though i must admit today i don't re-listen to it much.
Prefer: Solar Fire, Nightingales and Roaring Silence when i listen to MM the last 10-20 years.

I love Angels at my Gate to pieces. Generally it's a bit of a mixed bag that album, but there are some other really good tracks on it. I like the albums that came before between Solar Fire and Watch more though. Watch is a stunning album that people don't talk much about here either.

Over the years, AS has become one of my fave MMEB... It's definittely a grower, despite being less "prog" However, it's definitely the last album of theirs that I lkke.

A very good album that compliments the albums The Roaring Silence and Watch that predates it. A great way for MM to wind up their seventies output.

Somewhere in Africa is quite good. I also have all the other post 70s albums and despite the fact that I'd rate none of these albums at >=4 stars, I found some good songs on all of them that have grown on me through the years.

Some great stuff on it, but I wish they would not have included a joke song ("Resurrection") at the end.
Whenever I listen to it, I remove the needle after "Waiting for the Rain".
