When making poll, noticed there are also Flaming/the Gnome & Let There Be More Light/Remember a Day -singles, but leave them out, because those all are in the albums. I love these all five singles, but if I have to choose, it will be See Emily Play/ the Scarecrow (really like to choose last one too).

If you haven´t heard them all, you can listen them here (and watch funny videos):

See Emily Play is a wonderful song. Loved it in the recent Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets show . Careful With That Axe is of course genius, but just a B-side here and clearly inferior to the live versions I know.

Having 'The Scarecrow' is a sure win for me, so:

See Emily Play / The Scarecrow

'See Emily Play' a nice companion, though perhaps I like best 'Arnold Layne'...

'Paint Box', love it!

talking about funny videos.. don't know if it is already on your list, but I found this really notable one of Scarecrow, whose nice quality gives me the impression that it was filmed yesterday!

See Emily Play - very evocative song.

Funny...yours is filmed from the same sessions as the one I found from youtube, but it´s little bit different.

By the way I had forgotten about Paint Box despite having heard Relics a few times in the eighties. Good to be reminded, cute song!

I guess Julia Dream. Careful with that Axe is great, of course, but I do very much prefer the Ummagumma version. And if Let there be more Light / Remember a Day had been an option, that would undoubtedly been my favourite.

Hi,

..... the plane that landed ... upside down ....

is the one I always come back to ... it's just a crazy song and that image from Hipgnosis of a plane approaching a window was just too much ... I loved it ... a veritable Goons story .... just like the one about the trains and the doors and windows ... the visualization of it was just massive and exciting and fun to  hear!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

And it fits really well Apples & Oranges! Seems to be no-ones favorite, but I love it also, I think it´s really great when knowing how Syd´s situation was when it was recorded. I took the vid from American Bandstand where Syd managed to "sing" the song whole through, next Pat Boone show Roger had to do it. There seem to be also "official" vid where they "played" it with David.

from the early Floyd singles, I only like the songs of Arnold Layne and Careful With That Axe.

not sure why it wasn't included as a choice, as it would've maybe gotten my vote

I just wanted into this poll those non-album -singles (yes, The Scarecrow was from the Piper, but reasons you may understand I couldn´t let that single away). Also, Let there be more light / Remember a Day was released only outside UK, those five singles were the only Floyd singles in the UK at sixties. And if I remember right, next Floyd single after Point Me at the sky was Another Brick In the Wall part 2 / One Of My Turns in the UK.

But anyway nobody had to vote, if not want to.

Emily is my fave, but in some respects I can see how Arnold is the better song.
