This album really rocks with every listen, lots of bass licks, good lyrics and although not really a strong solo singer, the vocals of chris squire are alone quite solid made after or before GOING FOR THE ONE,i for one find it the better record ,my favorite track is LUCKY SEVEN the other is HOLD OUT YOUR HAND the ballad YOU BY MY SIDE really shows chris squires vocal range ,the closer safe(CANON)is a progressive masterpiece. thank you for taking the time reading my post.

Fish Out of Water is an album I gave a five-star review to recently and it's an album I really want to go out and buy. It's just as good as any YES album. Smile

I've always liked the album ,but I have  never felt t it had a really killer song on it.
Also wondered why he never did another one back then.

I bought the vinyl almost 45 years ago. And bought the CD too more recently. What a masterpiece!

Always loved Hold Out Your Hand (it hit me immediately) but it took me years before I appreciated what a great album it was overall. Now it regularly gets an outing and everytime the absence of Chris Squire still hurts.

Even though I do like this album, I have never really understood the reverence it gets. There's just something about the sound... something... dreamy (not in a good way) that sort of puts me off.

Great album, especially the first side. "Silently Falling" is probably the best track.

Good album. 3.5 stars for sure. I enjoy it more than some Yes albums

One of my favorite albums of all time. Great record! If I had to use a numeric rating system (which I despise tbh), it would get a maximum score for sho. 5 stars, 10/10, 100%

I know I'm in the minority but I think "You By My Side" is the best song on the album. And it's the only track without Bill Bruford. Simply gorgeous...

It's a hard album for me to listen to now. I miss Chris too much. Still.
