These are my 6 favourite Dream Theater albums. There are great tracks on other albums, but these are the most solid ones for me. So which do you prefer?

Images & Words out of these.
Lost interest in SDoIT and BC&SL, I rarely listen to them. Nice to see their debut mentioned here. The Moore albums are my favorite. Oh well...

Six Degrees of Inner Flatulence, as my grand daughter calls it. So, I'll go with that one.

BC&SL has two of my favourite DT tracks, The Best Of Times and The Count Of Tuscany, and the rest is very good too. Six Degrees has one outstanding disc/suite, and another pretty good one. Images And Words is my favourite, its an absolute classic

Scenes from a Memory from your list, Awake from outside the list. I voted for SFAM.

I know Awake is a favourite with many, but for some reason it has never clicked with me!

I'm not a fan of prog metal, and the only DT album I can listen all the way through is Images and Words, so it gets my vote.

Awake too would be one of my top 3, A Mind Beside Itself suite and Space-Dye Vest are excellent plus others. But from the list I'd chose SDoIT, I enjoy that album quite a lot.
Like many, this is a band that has dropped many levels on my interest as the recent output has been nothing short of boring, clearly the spark has left the bldg.......Things like this happen, especially after a 'dramatic turn if events'. |

Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

WDaDU is the one I return to more often now. Before, I&W and Awake got the most airplay...

I&W. Sadly, every album after Awake is an exercise in tedium.

Second that, generally. I still would add Change of Seasons. And 6 degrees still have exceptional stuff too, surprisingly.
