I expect this poll to torture some Rush fans torn between what to vote for , I would appreciate it if you vote for one but there are other options for those not brave enough to choose, or simply aren't interested.

Not gonna torture myself, I pick Moving Pictures because I've just listened to it more, that's all.

I was listening to hemispheres today inspired by another poll between 2112 and Hemispheres that prompted me to play it, what struck me is what a perfect album it really is ... its flawless, so another flawless album exists in their catalog that goes by the name of Moving Pictures , my vote went for hemispheres by and I stress by the smallest of margins .

Moving Pictures.
If side one of Hemispheres was as good as side two, I would vote equals. |

Both are amazing. But personally, I prefer Hemispheres, which is actually my favorite Rush's album.

Interesting that two people have picked MP but it only has 1 vote.
Anyway, I've never really got the love for MP, Hemispheres is much better.

Also interesting that Hemispheres is trouncing MP at the moment when it's actually below MP in the PA Top 100 (admittedly not by much).

Moving Pictures, as this would be the album that I would pick between the two as my "island" record to have. Every track easily stands on its own.

The Camera Eye is the best of Moving Pictures, but that pales in comparison to La Villa Strangiato. Then with everything from Hemispheres, the earlier album easily wins.

Don't know either album. (I've never been able to get into Rush though I owned their first three albums and saw them in concert in 1976.)

La Villa Strangiato is utterly magnificent, but the rest of Hemispheres isn't by any means as great.
Moving Pictures is a clear 5 star album with not a weak moment and I'd even put Permanent Waves slightly above Hemispheres as well. But none of them are less than 4*.
