Áuryn is a prog rock / pro metal band form Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The band started on 2008, by mutual friends influenced under progressive rock, metal, jazz and folklore. Started composing their first songs and recording demos during the early years. First band formation was Matias Catueño (bass), Andrés Gonzalez (guitar and voice), Nehuen Herrero (guitar and voice) and Ezequiel Bonani (drums).
In 2012, Ezequiel takes another route and Nicolas Truchet joins the band as the new drummer and voice arrangements.
The bands plays in the mithic La Plata Prog 2012 and in The Roxy venue next to to Presto Vivace.
In 2015 started working on their first full lenght album, which was finally released on May 2020.

thanks for the submission, excellent work what I could hear so far
a no-brainer for a prog website, but I'm not sure yet, which subgenre is the appropriate, sounds somewhat eclectic to me ...

It's kinda difficult for us to find a suitable subgenre, we have strong influences under Pain of Salvation, Opeth, Camel, Dream Theater, but there's elements like local latin-american folklore and jazz.

I voted yes for this one for PM, but I am also open for it if everyone else on the team wants to move it to Eclectic, Heavy or Crossover.  It's a nice rainbow of styles but it does tend to center itself to PM.  Yes it does definitely belong in the archives.
