Founded in Milan in 2018, Frogg is a progressive metal band that wants to express its personal view
about prog metal.
Drenching their music in history of art and literature, their debut concept album, The Golden Path, out
June 19th, depicts Klimt’s allegorical ''Beethoven Frieze”.
The narrative accurately follows the frieze’s development starting off with Ascension, which
represents the start of the journey in the struggle for happiness, to be then followed by the narrative
peak in the fight against Hostile Forces and resolved with a powerful, heavenly choir in Melting Souls,
the end of the Path and the meeting with the Art itself.
The whole journey is represented through a variety of musical genres and reprises from one song to
another, encompassing tight, punchy low tuned guitars, synths and catchy vocal lines.
The band released on May 29, 2020 the launch single Ascension, the representation of the beginning
of the journey proposed in Golden Path. A lyrics video of this song will be released on Friday 5 June.
In addition to preparing for the debut, the band intends to continue working on new music soon, and
also, to bring The Golden Path to live concerts, in order to maximize the experience for the listener
worthy of the issues and atmospheres touched.
Members are Letizia Merlo (vocalist), Luca Bisio (guitarist), Davide Silva (guitarist), Federico Medana
(bass player) and Mattia Santobuono (drummer).
