1975 Concert in Rome: "Music, Struggle & Joy" with Gong, Robert Wyatt and Henry Cow.

Concert free, organized by "Muzak", a music magazine.

On the right, on a black background, there is written: "For the opening of the campaign for the decriminalization of marijuana against hard drugs".

This is prog in Italy, in the seventies.

This concert (and other Italian shows) is covered quite well in Piekut's recent book on Henry Cow.
Thanks for the image.
The damage that we do is just so powerfully strong we call it love

The damage that we do just goes on and on and on but not long enough.

Apparently Wyatt suffered at this concert due to lack of facilities for disabled people; it was one of the reasons behind his decision not to do concerts afterwards.  Daevid Allen would have left Gong by this gig - it was the brief Hillage-led version of the group which eventually resulted in 'Shamal'.  Would have loved to have been there!

No, I was born in 1970. But a friend of mine was there and he posted this image on facebook.

I was 14 at the time - too young to have been allowed to go to such an event. However, I can't help envying the older folks who were able to attend. Those were the daysSmile!
