Anyone watch Phideaux win a Daytime Emmy a week or so ago?
I freaked out seeing his acceptance speech and quickly tried to explain to my wife (who was watching) who he was. Great musician and apparently great in other avenues as well.

Outstanding album by an outstanding band - and also a bunch of very nice people, whom I had the pleasure of seeing on stage twice.

Well, "oike" is slang for idiot. I thought it was playfully intentional, perhaps in an "Oy, I like it" rather than idiot way
"Oy, that bloke is such an idiot!" "Struth, that gloopy fellow is a total oike." I make typos all the time here, which might seem terrible for someone who worked as a copy-editor for many years. By the way, I moved this topic out of the "Prog Music Lounge" and into the Prog "Featured Albums" forum. This is the place for discussing a specific Prog album as was set-out (not a poll or list). I won't call anyone an oike for the error. ;) As for the album, I have only heard a song from it. |

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.
