Clearly the three albums of Genesis. The three albums of Genesis are all great, three masterpieces. About the Yes' albums, "The Yes Album" is great, "Fragile" isn't as great due to the individual tracks of the band's members and "Close To The Edge" is a masterpiece. So, Genesis.

I'd put them in order:
1) SEBTP 2 Foxtrot 3) The Yes Album 4) CTTE 5=) Fragile and TLLDOB So Genesis win fairly comfortably.

This poll is too Close to the Edge for me to decide either way.

I like CTTE above any of the Genesis albums. However, those 3 Genesis albums I prefer to either TYA or Fragile.
So Genesis. |

All are great. However, even though lamb is great it has a bit of filler. Yes did too but not as much imo. I voted for Yes.

Obviously Genesis....The Yes Album and Fragile are weak compared to CTTE...TFTO would have made it closer...

This would have been really hard, if there had been Relayer or Time and a Word instead of CTTE, but now it´s Genesis.

It's all decided by the Fairies vs. Fiebels ratio: Genesis has a lot of Fairies in its music and hardly any Fiebel. Yes, to the contrary, has many Fiebels, but no Fairies. Since I prefer Fiebels, I go for Yes. |

Yes, easily. AFAIC Yes at their peak were transcendent, shockingly brilliant in a way that only a handful of other artists ever were.

A more analogous match-up might have listed Nursery Cryme instead of The Lamb, which really belongs in a comparison poll with Topographic Oceans. So Yes gets my vote here, with three consecutive albums reaching the band's zenith.

Yes. Far more consistent over the 3 albums. Half of Lamb and SEbtP are mindless drivel.

Genesis edge it - but only because Fragile remains fragmented at times, despite its obvious highlights. I do love The Lamb, but swap it for Nursery Cryme and the gap would be even wider though. All 6 are 5-star albums though!
