This is the second round of bands from the neo/symph/crossover category of bands and personally includes some of my favorite candidates.  This bracket I give you a bonus band just because I can!  Wink  Anyhow, which of these songs has the best chance of some mainstream success in my alternative fantasy world where the mainstream listens to progressive rock.

Does this band have an unfair advantage with a song about our favorite day?

Their name practically oozes prog.

Supergroup reaches for (the dark side of?) the moon:

It even has "Radio" in the name:

My favorite song from double sci-fi concept albums:

Bonus track:  Did someone say favorite song from double sci-fi concept albums:

Hopefully, at least some of these songs will appeal to you.  Which one has the best chance of appealing to a mainstream audience?

If you missed the first NeoSymphCross bracket and want to vote, it can be found here:

Though Kavus Torabi is one of my favourite modern progressive musicians, this time around I was so favourably impressed by the Unaka Prong track that I gave it my vote. I also liked the Hasse Froberg track, with its Deep Purplish vibe.

The 3RDegree song, which I already was familiar with (I have both Ones and Zeros albums at home), is a bit of an awkward thing for me. Not only is the band no more, but I suspect that something very unpleasant happened behind the scenes. Therefore, as I knew all band members, and saw them live at least twice, their music makes me sad, even if I like it a lot.

I dont see any real advantage to any of these songs in terms of mainstream appeal.

I hadn't really heard any of these, but my personal preference is for In Continuum, it's very straight ahead, yet proggy to my ear.  I found the Unaka Prong and Kavus Torabi intriguing and thought the Hasse Frogberg was more of a rock piece than any, so it may have a chance in a more mainstream world.

Knew none of these, so I am discovering new things again, thanks to your "invitational tournement".

- Hasse Fröberg's Friday is a very classic 70s hard rock song. Quite pleasant, but I prefer Van Halen, then.
- Unaka Prong: very groovy and funky. Sounds good although the voice does not convince me entirely.
- Damanek: very nice song and interesting instrumentation. I really like this one.
- Kavus Torabi: Sounds like a small part of a bigger concept. Sounds good, but a bit orphan here (if it is part of a bigger thing...).
- 3rdegree: Nice song, not very original but a pleasant listen although maybe slightly to monotonous to reach a wide popularity.
- In Continuum: Sounds nice, but completely lacks originality and energy. Could be a proggy contribution to the Eurovision Song Festival, and maybe in that sense would appeal to a wider audience.

Well, I vote for a song that is probably not the most "poppy" of the batch, but I follow my personal preference here: Damanek.

The razamataz is a pain in the bum

Ultimately, that is my goal with this tournament.  To try and introduce new songs that have been released in the past few years.  I'm that you discovered some new things!!!
